This is the Lexus LF-NX concept, a "mid-sized crossover model." Come on Lexus, it's more than that.
I love it. OK it isn't the most beautiful creation but it is distinctive, and different, and fresh, and all those other words people use to describe things that are often a bit stupid. But this isn't stupid. It's brilliant.
Too many concepts are normal, too many cars are boring. This is anything but normal and boring. I would love to see LF-NXs on the road. It would make the world a more colourful place.
Boringly the LF-NX isn't powered by a nuclear reactor or a Girodyne SRB42 sublight engine but by Lexus' Hybrid Drive System.
I've only one complaint about the Lexus LF-NX. The wheel arches are a bit ordinary. OK, and the boot lid is too high. And the fuel filler flap appears to overlap with the rear light clusters. But that's all.
The Lexus LF-NX concept will be on display at the Lexus stand from 10 September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
