These are the first photos of the production ready BMW i8 hybrid and it looks a damn site better than the i3.
The i8 is powered by a 3-cylinder 1.5 litre petrol engine with 231 bhp driving the rear wheels, and a 131 bhp electric motor driving the front wheels. The i8's weight is 1,495kg and 0-60mph takes around 4 seconds. Mpg is 113 and CO2 emissions are 59 g/km.
The BMW i8 will be launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show on 10 September.
