The colour of the M4 at Pebble Beach is causing some controversy with several people telling Speedmonkey they severely dislike it. But I quite like it. It does highlight the lack of metal between headlight and grille though.
The grille itself still features that funny little bend at the top that BMW has introduced in several recent models, and which goes against the traditional BMW grille. The fact it is matt black disguises that somewhat.
The wheels seem a little too bling, and possibly unsuitable for such a sporty car. The brakes appear to be carbon ceramic - and are huge.
The M4 is the most handsome BMW we've seen in a long time. The rear end in particular is well thought out, although that diffuser seems a tad pointless with the huge exhaust muffler ahead of it.
And let's hope the muffler doesn't muffle too much exhaust sound because the engine will be a twin-turbo 3 litre, 6-cylinder which is expected to deliver 440bhp.
The BMW M4 Coupé will be launched in 2014.
