Sitting in a quiet spot just north of the Formula 1 paddock is the media centre which is sponsored by Maserati. Outside the media centre is a roped off area with every generation of the Maserati Quatroporte on display - and this, the first Ghibli on UK soil.

You'll find the full specs in
previous articles. I was able to sit in the car and take a good look all over it. The Ghibli is roughly the same size as a 5-Series. It's quite beautiful for a saloon. The front seats are commodious and the dashboard similar to the Quattroporte. The rear seats are not exactly the largest in class but the boot is vast.
The interior is bellisimo. The layout is great, the controls are lovely and the leather looks and feels up to Rolls Royce standards. It is a much classier place to be than any of its competition - certainly the Germans. There's just no sign of cost controls, aside from the tacky door locks.
I also took a photo of the spec and price list (bottom photo), although the prices have been guesstimated by Maserati UK based on Italian prices. Still, at £48k-63k the pricing is spot on and makes the Ghibli a real contender for the A6, E-Class, 5-series and XF.
