BOMBSHELL ALERT! Order books for the 2013 Renault Zoe are now officially open.
Prices begin at £13,650, inclusive of the Government's 25 per cent grant towards electric vehicles.
Renault's new Zoe is the latest offering from the French brand's E.V. range of plug-in electric vehicles. Complimenting the range, which already includes the Twizy, Kangoo and Fluence, the Zoe offers electric technology in a supermini package.
Furthermore, the Zoe boasts the best range of any mass-production electric vehicle, offering up to 130 miles on a single charge. Supposedly this can be achieved if all 87 horses are treated with a slow hand.
Renault's latest offering will be available in three different trim levels; Expression (£13,650), Dynamique Zen (£14,750) and Dynamique Intens (£14,750).
Each of these trim levels come equipped with Bluetooth, Climate Control, Cruise Control, Satellite-Navigation, Stability Control and a USB input socket. Extra equipment on both the Dynamique Zen and Dynamique Intens will comprise of Alloy Wheels, Automatic Headlights and Wipers, Electric Rear Windows, Rear Parking Sensors and Remote Battery Charging.
Alas, there is in fact a difference between the Dynamique Zen and Dynamique Intens trim level. The former receives a rear-view camera with a dark interior, whilst the latter boasts a lighter interior with Teflon seat coatings.
Similarly to the entire Renault E.V. range, the Zoe will require battery rental of £70 monthly, which includes 3 years or up to 7,500 miles. An upgrade to 12,000 miles can be arranged for £93 per month.
Should the Zoe send a jolt of electricity down your spine, an order can be secured for a low £49 pre-order payment.
