Mitsubishi L200 gets 5 year warranty

The Mitsubishi L200.  The rugged, utilitarian pick-up that is also strangely desirable.  Who wouldn't want an L200 Warrior or Barbarian, or even the recent Barbarian Black (which, unlike Mercedes' Black Series, just has black bits where you would expect alloy or steel) in their drive?

The L200 comes in all sorts of variations from builders spec single cab 4Work right up to the aforementioned twin cab Barbarian Black DC, which is basically a massive posing machine.

From builders to posers all future purchasers of the L200 will now have the comfort of knowing their new car comes with a comprehensive 5 year/125,000 mile warranty.

Mitsubishi say the L200 is the first pick-up in the marketplace to come with such a warranty and was the first to be awarded an NCAP 4* safety rating.

The 4Work, 4Life, Warrior and Trojan models come with a 134bhp diesel engine, which is good for 0-62mph in 15 seconds in manual form.  The Barbarian and Walkinshaw (named after ex-F1 team owner Tom Walkinshaw) versions come with a 175bhp engine, good for 0-62mph in 12.2 seconds with the manual gearbox.
