Lamborghini Aventador on fire

Earlier this year a customer was taking a Lamborghini Aventador for a test drive in Southern California when it burst into flames on the highway.

The fire started at the rear of the car and quickly spread - the carbon fibre falling away as it burned.

Happily the driver walked out of the car but unluckily for Lamborghini several people were on hand to film their supercar blazing away.

The Aventador costs £253,200 and has a 6.5 litre V12 that produces 700bhp - and a 90 litre fuel tank.

This isn't the first time a supercar has spontaneously combusted.  These photos from www.wreckedexotics.com are testament to that.  No-one was hurt in any of these photos.
