The Suzuki Gladius is a mid range bike with a 650cc twin cylinder engine. It costs £6399 which is £300 more than the standard price. The paint scheme is based on the RG500 Grand Prix Suzuki racers of the 1970s and looks pretty cool.
As a biker I like the Suzuki's lines and the price and engine are just right for a newer rider or for someone looking for a commuter that won't scare them to death. The only problem I have with the Gladius is it's name. As with Range Rover's Evoque the Gladius has a distinctly feminine name which will surely put off potential male buyers.
Fiat, meanwhile, have issued five new retro colour schemes that they describe as 'vibrant'. The 500 also comes with white detailing which evokes the 500s of the 70s. The Colour Therapy Fiat 500s start from £10,760 on the road. Various packages are available and the colours are listed as New Age Cream, Countrypolitan Yellow, Pasodoble Red, Volare Blue, and Tech House Grey.
I think I prefer the Abarth version of the small Fiat though.
