BMW's latest models, the M6 Coupé and Convertible will make their UK debut's at the Festival of Speed on 28 June to 1 July. Both cars are powered by a new V8 twin turbo with 560bhp.
The Coupé does 0-60mph in 4.2 seconds with the Convertible only 0.1 seconds slower due to it's extra weight and drag. The Coupé costs £93,820 and the Convertible £99,020. Astonishingly high figures when you think a Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet is ten grand less.
BMW celebrates 40 years of M at Goodwood and have Tiff Needell on hand to drive the cars and Troy Corser to take the bikes for a spin up the famous hill climb. Speedmonkey hasn't really approved of the design direction of the more recent BMWs but is pretty impressed with these 6 series. The old 635CSi was one of the best looking BMWs and the Coupé comes close to matching that although the corporate snout is still not quite right. The grille is slightly too wide
